Notes de dégustation
Decanter – Charles Curtis 92 pts 2023 July
“TOP VALUE. From vines located within the village limits of Meursault, in 2022 producing a wine with delicious apple aromas and notes of acacia flowers with a bit of smoky reduction. The texture is dense and rich but not heavy. The grapes are fermented in cask but not new oak, and the wine matured for 18-24 months with occasional lees stirring. Complex and textuyrally stisfying. Organic.”
Burgundy Report – Bill Nanson 2023-10
“A broad and attractive panorama of aroma(s). Smaller yet wider than the Aligote. A hint more creamy in this wonderful sizzling finish – it’s quite zesty here – another super finish !!”
Inside Burgundy – Jasper Morris 87-89 pts 2024 January
“Pale lemon and lime. Rather elegant on the nose, and again an attractive precision to the fruit. This fills the palate very well but with restraint and refinement. A clean long finish.”
Vinous – Neal Martin – Now, For My latest Trick Burgundy 2022 – 2024 January – 88-90 pts
“The 2022 Bourgogne blanc Côte d’Or has a distinctive nose with potent Conference pear scents bursting from the glass. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, lightly spiced with hints of rose water and even a soupçon of red fruit toward the finish. Delicious.”
“Tasted from vat, where it was transferred just before harvest, the 2019 Bourgogne Blanc offers attractive pineapple and passion fruit notes on the nose. The palate is well balanced. and even though it had not quite finished its malo, there is plenty of depth and length in situ.”
Burgundy Report – Bill Nanson 2020-12
“Some fermentary aromas. Supple, but with a little textural richness, the middle and finishing flavours are more mouth-watering and rather delicious. This should be excellent.”
The Wine Advocate – William Kelley 2021-01 88 pts
“Notes of pear, white flowers and citrus zest introduce the 2019 Bourgogne Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, bright and precise wine with a fleshy core of fruit and chalky back-end grip.”
Offering up aromas of apple, pear and blanched almonds, the 2018 Bourgogne blanc is medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive, with fine depth and tension.
Burgundy Report – Bill Nanson 2019-11
Had yields that were just a little higher than allowed for the Côte d’Or label and wasn’t going to distil a couple of barrels to keep that label!
Hmm, forward, saline, a little spiced. This is first-class over the palate – composed but pure, Meursault-spiced, fine-textured. Bravo !
Special Report 2018 Burgundy Scores – Tim Atkin 2019-10 90 points
“The 2017 Bourgogne Blanc, which has been blended in vat, offers attractive walnut and white chocolate scents ont the well defined nose, gaining intensity woth aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, very expressive with very impressive complexity towards the finish. This Bourgogne Blanc punches well above its status and comes highly recommended.”
Burgundy Report – Bill Nanson 2018-10
All the domaine’s regionals come from the commune of Meursault. All barrel, none new.
“Hmm, fine aromatic volume – hyper-inviting. Concentrated, beautifully textured, wide, complex – great Bourgogne. So long too.”
Robert Parker Wine Advocate – William Kelley 2018-10 86-88 pts
The 2017 Bourgogne Blanc offers up notes of green pear, lemon and white flowers, followed by a medium-bodied, tangy palate with a crunchy core of fruit and a chalky finish. Having just been racked and sulfited, I suspect it will be a little fleshier by the time it’s in bottle, but it will always be a crisp, incisive wine.
“Delicate but with an elegantly ripe impression. Wide, bright, growing, ingraining intensity. Delicious finishing. Superior bourgogne !”
“Weight of aroma, floral and fresh – very inviting. Classic Meursault palate, slightly spiced and warming but with a good level of acidity. Yet it’s only Bourgogne – or the label anyway. Bravo !”
Decanter Magazine – William Kelley 2016-10
“Notes of buttered apples, pear and honeysuckle introduce a deep, ample Bourgogne Blanc underpinned by crisp acidity and tension.” 88 points
“Fresh and zesty and pure. Good fresh acidity and lemony fruit with a contained palate and a lovely minerality on the finish. Good balance of fruit and minerality.”
VINOUS – Antonio Galloni 09/2013 88 pts
“The 2011 Bourgogne Chardonnay impresses for its superb breadth, volume and persistanence. Almond, lemon and white flowers develop int he glass, but the 2011 is mostly about texture and balance. In 2011, Pierre Morey’s Bourgogne Chardonnay is irresistibly delicious.”
86-88 – “A restrained, cool and really quite attractive nose of citrus, floral and white fleshed fruit aromas leads to appealingly rich, round and well-delineated flavors that culminate in a clean, dry and ever-so-mildly austere finish. A lovely Bourgogne.”
VINOUS – Antonio Galloni 08/2012 87 pts
“A delicious, entry-level offering that won’t break the bank, Morey’s 2010 Bourgogne Chardonnay caresses the palate with layers of soft, expressive fruit. Hints of smoke, earthiness and spices add complexity. this an especially accessible wine for the vintage that should drink nicely for another few years.”
Burgundy Briefing – Sarah Marsh
“Good ripeness, rich ripe citrus fruit. Elegant, straight. There is a real shiver of minerality under the more obvious fruit. Very attractive. I like this.”
85-87 – “Morey virtually always excels with this wine and 2006 is no different as it delivers excellent quality for its level.”
VINOUS Antonio Galloni – Neal Martin 2021-10 85-87 pts
“The 2020 Bourgogne Blanc came from the barrels that had finished their malolactic. It offers orange rind and a tuch of quince on the nose beeswax and withe linen. The palate is well balanced with a little more tension than the Aligoté, quite long on the finish. Fine”
Burgundy Report – Bill Nanson 2022-06
“A calmer, friendlier nose. Wide, some layers to this flavour – some generosity too. I like this texture, easy, comfortable, tasty wine.”
92 pts – “Fresh, chalky scents of lime peel and gravel…A great example of the not-over-oaked style of Bourgogne Blanc.”

This gorgeous, glacé fruit and sweet hazelnut oak-licked white burgundy tastes like a £20-plus bottle”
