There is excellent punch to the more vibrant and delicious bigger-bodied flavors that once again coat the palate with dry extract that serves to buffer the firm tannins shaping the lengthy finish where the only nit is a touch of warmth. this could likely be approchaed after 5 to 7 years.”

The 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Grands Epenots is showing beautifully from bottle, offering up a deep bouquet of ripe berry fruit, plums and cherries mingled with soil tones and hints of blood orange. Medium to full-bodied, with fine mid-palate volume and powdery structuring tannins, this is a lively, elegant Grands Epenots that has realized the potential it showed in barrel.
