Auxey-DuressesVillage
Maison Morey Blanc
- Wine White- Classification : Village
- Grape variety : Chardonnay
- Vintages : Since 2000
There is a beautiful smoothness, raised by an inconspicious acidity for a good persistence. Auxey really looks like its closer neighbour Meursault even if its location makes its ripeness later.
Tasting notes
“A complex, honeyed bouquet of apple, grapefruit, confit citrus and iodine leads into a full-bodied, deep wine with good freshness and cool, stony minerality. A lovely rendition of this under-rated appellation.” 90 points
“Lovely citrus fruit on the palate. Juicy and with sweet acidity. Good energetic line. Good Auxey Duresses.”
“Quite racy and mineral with an attractive fine finish. Excellent village wine.”
86/100 – “An elegant, lemon and honey-infused white with good balance and a lingering finish.”
