Tasting notes
Vines under Goutte d’Or
“A faintly but vibrantly, reductive width of aroma – complex and inviting. More direct, melting and fluid impression here. The minerality like a baby Meursault-Perrières. Another super finish with a wide and super-attractive vista. Super wine!”

“The 2022 Meursault Les Terres Blanches, a lieu-dit just below La Goutte d’Or, though less step, has a pithy bouquet with Confernence pear and melted wax scents, opening with aeration. The palate is well-balanced with lime cordial and orange pth, fine weight in the mouth, and an open, lilting finish that should ensure it ages well in bottl. That said, I imagine it being difficule to resist in its yought.”
The 2018 Meursault Les Terres Blanches is very promising, exhibiting aromas of crisp green orchard fruit, citrus oil, blanched almonds and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, textural but incisive, with fine depth at the core and promising chalky back-end grip, this is a beautiful wine in the making.
“The 2017 Meursault Les Terres Blanches, which comes from a single parcel just under Goutte d’Or, has a delightfull bouquet with crushed stone, hazelnut and hints of dried honey. The palate is beautifully balanced with seamlessly integrated oak (around 20% new). This has such harmony and grace, very focused with a precise and long, dried pineapple tinged finish. Superb.”
Burgundy Report – Bill Nanson 2018-10
Near Gouttes d’Or but on flatter land.
“A more mineral – perhaps – nose with a light reduction. More open, pure, complex, layered wine, slowly mouth-watering – composure – beautifully composed wine – my new favourite – bravo.”
“A faint high-toned smoke, goal also has spiced bread component. Hmm, layers, Indeed waves flavor. Beautiful Meursault flavor. Wide and comforting – just generous, gorgeous flavour – whatever the soil color !” (Anne Morey laughs at the name of the climate, it’s near Drops Now, it’s really brown soil here – goal maybe the rock below is white…)
“Very savoury and solid. A very slightly rustic note in the end.” 16/20
“This is compact and battened down. Cold grip to the palate. Cool fruit and fresh acidity, marked with shivering, cold minerals on the finish. Very good.”
Quinveringly zesty, floral, pure and tight focused.Very good acidity, high toned. This really shows on the finish which is high wired, mineral and very long. it has vibration. Particularly good.”
Superbe !”
89+ points – “Stone and menthol on the nose, lifted by a high-pitched floral element. Juicy and nicely delineated, with very good lift to the lime and stone flavors.”
89-91 points – “A round, stylish wine with an expressive yellow plum flavor and some minerality on the back end. Very Meursault.”
Burghound.com – Allen Meadows
86-88 – “The first vintage for this wine, parcel bought in 2006 winter.”
WINE ADVOCATE – Robert PARKER
90 points – “From a tiny site beneath the Gouttes d’Or and vines mixed ages, …this tension-laden Meursault harbors piquant nuttiness and tactile chalkiness that dominate in its long finish.”
